Are there any movies you could you watch over and over and still love?

Oh, there are plenty.  I love film as a medium.  I don’t think it should be treated as “let’s make books into movies and make money” but as its own genre.  Here’s just a sampling:

  • Gangs of New York, The Last King of Scotland, Batman: The Dark Knight - fantastic character relationship between “hero” and “villian” where you can see one in the other.
  • Inception, The Matrix, How to Train Your Dragon - epic quests where the hero accomplishes their task as well as faces their inner weaknesses. With some baller special effects.
  • Most 90s Disney Movies - even Hunchback of Notre Dame!  Fantastic examples of animation and integrating music into storytelling.
